What is a mosaic QR?
The mosaics are just a fun novelty use of QR codes. Some mosaics are scannable if the colours contrast enough. Every single QR code in your image was generated from your input.
Why won't the QR codes in my mosaic scan?
The colour palette of your image might not be suitable, or your QR tiles may be too small to scan. Experiment with different settings.
Can I get a bigger mosaic?
Yes, download your image as an 'SVG' - this file format dynamically scales without blurring.
Does my image get uploaded, stored or sent?
No. Your image is added to your browser session, and then your device generates the file. Nothing ever leaves your device.
Why is my mosaic blurry?
Try enabling 'Diamond Mode' with Smart Rotation. The diamond tiling pattern can sometimes be clearer. Alternatively, add more QR tiles in the options, or use a higher resolution image.
F.A.Q.
Why did I get a color warning?
Contrast is key. Scanners read the difference between light and dark.
However, this warning is just a guideline. Many modern phones can read "suboptimal" color combinations perfectly fine.
Test and Adjust: Always scan the preview with your own phone. If it works, ignore the warning! If it struggles, try darkening the foreground dots slightly.
How to make "Updateable" Links?
You don't need a "Dynamic QR" subscription service.
The easiest, cheapest way (if it's applicable to you*) is to set up a Redirect on your own website (e.g., yourWebsite.com/qr) or use a free link shortener that give you control over your link for free.
Create a static QR code for that specific link. e.g (www.myWebsite.com/qr) Later, you can simply change where that URL points because you control it. The QR code remains the same, but the destination changes. No middleman required.
What size image should I upload?
Any image will do!
However, for logos and photos, square images work best.
A resolution of around 1000x1000 pixels is optimal. This ensures your file/image looks crisp when printed.

Is your QR code very complex?
If you have a lot of text or data, the QR pattern becomes very dense. The on-screen preview is scaled down, which might make it look blurry to a phone camera.
This can happen when previewing large QR codes with the Poster/Lost pet frame*.
Solution: Download the saved file or print it out. The full-resolution file is much clearer and easier for cameras to read than the small preview window.
How many QR can I generate at once?
In Batch Mode, you can generate hundreds of codes. We recommend keeping batches under 500 lines at a time to prevent your browser tab from freezing.
Is my data saved?
No. HyperQR is strictly Client-Side. HyperQR has no database. Your input never leaves your device.
Do I need an account?
No account required.
All QR codes, documents, and work are generated entirely on your device, in your browser locally.
